Korea is a poster child of how international aid can transform and uplift a nation out of poverty and despair. It is now incumbent on us to help the disadvantaged people and multiply the goodwill so that our success story can inspire others. Danvit will focus on providing emergency relief and aid to people affected by conflicts, extreme weather and natural disasters by working with other NGOs and agencies, but will also support longer-term initiatives in the areas of WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene), literacy and education, food security and nutrition, healthcare infrastructure and clean energy to improve the quality of living in the crisis-affected communities. Recognizing that our generation does not have much time left to act as trustees for the next generation and to guarantee “Our Common Future,” Danvit will actively search for its role in restoring the positive link between humans and the environment as well as the link between development and preserving the ecosystem.
