Welcome From the Chairman

As someone who has personally witnessed Korea's remarkable and compressed growth, I am incredibly proud to see Korea standing at the center of the world stage, having started from one of the youngest and poorest nations in the post-war era.

However, given the resilience, talent and determination of the Korean people, I still believe our country’s potential is yet to be fully capitalized. I envision Korea playing a significant role in overcoming challenges that the next generation faces, such as the climate crisis, regional instability, and fragmentation of the global order.

We at the Danvit Foundationaspire to be a catalyst of compassion andsolidarityby looking far into the future for the next generation.

There is an old saying, "Even a foolish old man can move mountains" (愚公移山). It means that even something that may appear to be an impossible task, if continued tirelessly, can one day become a reality. Sometimes, the challenges we face may seem daunting, but neither isbeing afraid to take actions a viable alternative.

The Danvit Foundation will start with smallsteps but we will not tire until we can bring light and hopeful morning sunlight to those in need.
