What We Do

Promoting Korea’s Global Competitiveness and Public Diplomacy

Korea has been a vanguard of free trade and one of the most vocal proponents of globalization. However, we are witnessing a fundamental shift in trade paradigms toward a more protectionist and fragmented world. At the same time, cross-border issues arising from energy, trade tensions, climate disasters and regional conflicts are further disrupting the global supply chains and pose challenges to Korea’s export-oriented economy. Internally, aging population, low birth rate, downward productivity, inefficient capital allocation and lagging corporate governance are but a few factors putting further pressure on Korea’s sustained growth. Now more than ever, Korea needs to develop timely responses and comprehensive strategies to optimize its national interest and expand international partnerships. Danvit seeks to inherit and carry on the heritage of Korea’s founding entrepreneurs, who embodied the idea of “industrial patriotism (産業報國)” that building a thriving and innovative economy is key to advancing the nation’s prosperity and welfare.
